During my assignment for CARE in Sierra Leone last October, I shot both photos and video. Here’s the final video using my footage, edited together by CARE’s production team.

Adriana was fighting with a rebel army in Colombia at 11. After going through our child soldier rehabilitation program, she joined our team as a mentor to young people who are going through the same transition and is building a stable, secure life for her son.

Happy 100th Birthday to one of my buildings in New York, the Woolworth Building. The top image is an old undated photo that I’ve always loved, and the bottom one I took in 2010. (Where is this?)
While looking out my window today, i noticed a lot of police cars in the area. They started blocking off the streets to all cars and even pedestrians. About 7 blocks running east/west and 4 running north/south were completely deserted. None of the police or firemen that showed up seemed terribly hurried or anxious, so I wasn’t too concerned myself. Then i saw this guy suiting up in bomb squad gear. I’m not exactly sure what he did, but it looked like he worked on a little building under the LIRR (Long Island Railroad) tracks that probably house some electrical equipment.
